All Materials Supplied

This great class will quickly bring you up to speed on the fabulous technique of Bead Embroidery. You will learn how to lay out the design, glue cabochons and metal flowers to ultra suede, bead embroider various size beads around the cabochons and flower to enhance the design, attach all to a 1 1/4 inch hammered cuff and apply finishing techniques. You can bring your own beads and components if you wish, but we will be sticking to the basic pattern in the photograph. Instructor will supply tools needed for class, but you may bring your own needles, scissors, etc.

All materials are included in this class: metal flower, stones, beads, suede, 1
1/4 inch hammered cuff and tools.

This introductory class will quickly bring you up to speed on the fabulous technique of Bead Crochet. You will learn how to choose beads and other materials, such as thread, for your projects. Various stringing patterns from simple to complex will be discussed and you will try your hand at stringing a simple stripe pattern. You will learn Bead Crochet method and practice a bit before beginning your bracelet. You will learn tips and techniques for bead management, dealing with mistakes in a pattern, adding a new thread, attaching end caps, focal beads and clasps and other finishing ideas. Students may be able to finish the bracelet in class, but if they do not, they will at least have finished one end of the bracelet with bead cap and focal bead so that they can finish at home. Instructor will be available the week after class for those requiring coaching or have gotten stuck and need some help. Instructor will supply tools needed for class, but students need to supply materials listed below.

Born in Denver and raised in Littleton Annette still lives, works and produces art in Colorado.
Affiliations with The Colorado Women’s Caucus for Art and Core New Art Space, a Denver Artists’ Coop has helped build and shape Annette’s fine art career. While working as an advertising specialist Annette has developed a strong style and unique imagery in her fine art. Annette is virtually fearless and incredibly resourceful when it comes to new creative challenges. She’s been known to work around the clock to master new software, raid her closed or just the right item for a photo shoot, or take the lead finding new materials or exciting venues for showing her fine art. Annette is Creative Communications’ founder and creative director overseeing art direction and design. After attending Colorado Sate University and the Colorado Institute of Art, she embarked on a design career which has included positions at the Denver Center for Performing Arts, the Colorado Historical Society, and a number of Colorado’s leading advertising agencies. She formed her communications company in 1993.
