Patti Weber is the proprietor and main bead maven at Bead
Lounge, who is overcoming her natural shyness to spend many hours speaking
with customers about beads, stones, crystals, and jewelry making.
Its very appropriate that she's our Featured Artist Of
the Month while stones and crystals are the Featured Medium.
Before coming to the professional side of beading, Patti developed
a love for them with creative family members like her aunt, and would spend
many happy hours finding beads and stones. Her early art work with pinhole
photography, painting and mixed media collage received good notices including
a Congressional Merit Award. Patti worked her way through the corporate
and business worlds before becoming a full time mother, and then branching
out into home parties and now the best bead store here in the Front Range
of Colorado's mountains.
Her jewelry speaks for itself, and Patti combines semi-
precious stones, wire and metals with her love of color and form to create
necklaces and bracelets, pendants and earrings.
Patti's studies in philosophy and religion combine with ongoing research
about stones and their various healing and metaphysical qualities to inform
her work on many levels.
Although the store itself is her biggest (and ongoing!) creation, she
takes great joy in jewelry making and sharing her love of beads with others.
