Cloth, fiber and beads have been bound together
beautifully all throughout time, and this month we celebrate Textile Arts
at here at Bead Lounge.
We have so many creative artisans in this medium that
we couldnt pick just one to feature--so we are happy to present the works
of Margaret Hartsook, Sarah Porter, Sara Broers Brown and Sarajane Helm.

Margaret Hartsook offeres
painted and dyed silks, with jewel tones and golden accents found in pillows
and wall banners as well as scarves and other wearables.
Margaret offers a class in silk painting
here at Bead Lounge.
Sarajane Helm uses textiles and embelishing needlearts to create costumed
soft sculptures that go beyond "dolls".
She also offers classes here at Bead Lounge
in dollmaking, beading, and more.
Sarah Porter takes antique quilts and presents them in weathered window
frames.
Their subtle colors and patterns would be a perfect art accent for those
who sew or just appreciate the needlework and history.
Sara Broers Brown shares her love of colorful textiles in her quilted
wall hangings, collages and paintings. Her mother is also a quilter whose
work can be seen this month at Bead Lounge.
