Marion Reynolds creates welded metal structures from
recycled metal, found objects, antique tools and more.
His sculptures range in size from table top to public exhibition scale.
Prices vary according to size and intricacy.
His work can be found in downtown Kansas City, New Orleans, and his
home town Nederland Colorado.
His work is colored by symbols from many diverse mythological sources
as well as from life studies and his own creative imagination.
Although he was accepted to the Academie des Beaux Artes in Paris France,
he chose to come to Colorado and pursue a grass roots approach to his art.
Originally his genre of choice was pen and ink and advertising art,
but three dimensional art exerted a pull and he began experimenting with
welded metal montage and sculptural construction.
His "day job" as a builder/tradesman/woodcutter endowed him
with an understanding of tool use, and his artistic inclinations took over
from there.

Marion says "My metal work is a form
of meditation. The creative process for me opens up a fantasy world and
gives me access to the invisible world while in the midst of daily life
."
Whimsical and dark, beautiful formed and and with finishes that use
the natural patination of the metals, Marion's art can be used indoors,
outdoors, and in a variety of spaces both personal and industrial.
Gardens and parlors alike can benefit from the addition of these metal
masterpieces.
In addition to the sculptures on display during April's Metal Month
at Bead Lounge, Marion will also consider commission designs work.
